Summary
An escape of plasma proteins labeled with Evans blue was observed in the small intestines of rats. Lymph was collected from an intestinal fistula and the rate of protein escape measured by the appearance of Evans blue. During feeding of olive oil the amount of Evans blue collected was much higher than when rats received glucose solution.
