Abstract
Summary
The addition of cholera toxin to closed loops of proximal small intestine resulted in an increase in the extravascular space of serum albumin. It did not alter the tissue red blood cell, dextran or urea spaces while causing a decrease in the inulin space. The increase in the albumin space suggests that the interstitial colloid osmotic pressure was elevated.
