Abstract
Summary
Measles antibody level correlated directly with gamma globulin level in single serums from 136 subjects. Changes in measles antibody and IgG levels corresponded in sequential serums from 3 subjects. In a population increased immunoglobulins may cause elevated measles antibody, while in individuals changes in IgG may cause similar changes in measles antibody levels.
We thank J. Benson, R. Hargrave and J. Brindisi for technical assistance and Mrs. Covolo for sera and GG determinations. Supported by grants from U.S. Public Health Service and Hartford Foundation.
