Summary
Prior experiments indicated that systemic blood pressure and heart rate were diminished and cardiovascular reflexes attenuated in rats with EAE. The present series demonstrated that spontaneous sympathetic outflow is reduced in afflicted animals and that this most probably contributes to the lower blood pressure.
