Summary

The dog, in comparison to the rat and rabbit, has a very limited capacity to transfer procaine amide ethobromide from plasma to bile. It would appear that the relative inability of the dog to transfer the PAEB from the plasma into the parenchymal cell plays a major role in producing this effect.
