Summary
Determination of the mean transit time of aspartate from glomerulus to ureter, in presence or absence of a competitive inhibitor of aspartate reabsorption (glu–tamate), provides evidence that the carrier system responsible for aspartate reabsorption is localized on the luminal cell membrane.
