Abstract
Summary
The renal clearance of creatinine following reopening of the ureter in eight dogs with a nonfiltering kidney was found to be very low and to average 2.2 ml/min. The secretion of renin was variable. These studies provided evidence that in the nonfiltering kidney model in dogs there is no glomerular filtration occurring even in the deeper nephrons.
