Abstract
Summary
Microcrystalline collagen (Avitene) when used to coat petri plates forms a tough transparent adherent film. This micro-crystalline collagen film is an effective substrate for rapid growth of primary rabbit kidney cells. The cells grew out more rapidly than the cells grown on uncoated plates; the cells appear normal under the microscope and are normal in their ability to support virus growth.
