Summary
The incorporation of hydroxydihydrophenanthrylcysteine into hemoglobin has been demonstrated with a lysate of rabbit reticulocytes. The uptake of the amino acid analogue was greater in the beta chain than in the alpha. Incorporation was inhibited by chloramphenicol. 2
