Summary
Rubella virus, VSV, and NDV replicate as well in rheumatoid as in nonrheumatoid derived synovial cells, in culture. Interference to VSV challenge is produced in both cell types following treatment with poly I:C. Extracellular fluids from both rheumatoid and nonrheumatoid cells inactivate the three viruses to approximately the same degree.
