Summary
Rate of locomotion of human PMN is markedly enhanced by temperature between 32 and 42° (Q 10 = 5.2). This rate is not significantly altered between pH 6.5 and 7.5. Beyond pH 7.6 there is a significant and rapid inhibition of motility.
