Summary
In summary, 15 or 30% dietary soybean did not significantly alter the cellular structure or weight of the pancreas (g/kg) of the adult dog. The synthesis of trypsinogen, chymotrypsinogen, and lipase was temporarily impaired, but their synthesis was returned to normal. The effects of raw soybean on the dogs in this study were different from those reported in rats and chicks.
