Abstract
Summary
A calf serum fraction with sulfation factor activity was shown to stimulate growth of HeLa cells in Eagle's minimum essential medium supplemented with “nonessential” amino acids and bovine serum albumin. The results are discussed in light of the influence of pituitary growth hormone on sulfation factor activity in serum and of similarities in effects of the latter and insulin.
