Abstract
Summary
Cyclic AMP and dibutyryl cyclic AMP stimulate corticosterone production when added to suspensions of isolated rat adrenal cells. Theophylline enhances the action of cyclic AMP but not that of ACTH. Adenosine, 5′-AMP, and ATP exhibit no or very slight steroidogenic activity in the isolated cell system.
