Abstract
Summary
The present study has demonstrated that tetrolyl-pantetheine is a potent inhibitor of lipid synthesis in rat skin. The inhibitory effect was particularly marked with fatty acid and sterol fractions. These findings suggest that tetrolyl-pantetheine may exert its effect by inhibiting reactions common to both fatty acid and sterol synthesis in the skin.
