Abstract
Summary
Procedures for the preparation of highly purified concentrates of formalin-inactivated Coxiella burneti were developed. These procedures include the use of centrifugation, fluorocarbon, and brushite treatments. The final product was free of detectable host (egg) antigen and had only phase 1 complement-fixing activity. The relationship between concentration and optical density was confirmed for the concentrated material.
