Abstract
Summary
The enlargement of the promyelocytes and their nuclei in unstimulated granulocytopoiesis of healthy men are compared to patients with infectious diseases, agranulocytosis, or polycythemia vera. The result is statistically evaluated and supports the hypothesis of the existence of a dormant population in normal granulocytopoiesis.
