Summary
Precocious sensitization of the uterus to respond to trauma with deciduoma formation was obtained in pseudopregnant rats by prior daily treatment with progesterone combined with estrogen injection and traumatization on Day 3. The sensitivity of the uterus was reduced on Day 5. Estrogen treatment prior to traumatization prevented the precocious sensitization.
