Abstract
Summary
Uterine uptake and retention of 3H-estradiol-17β in rats subjected to varying levels of thyroid hormones were studied in vivo and in vitro. Uteri from thyroxine-treated rats had a lesser in vivo retention and in vitro uptake of estrogens whereas thyroidectomized rat uteri had greater in vivo retention and in vitro uptake compared with controls.
