Summary
Chicken IgY, the major serum immunoglobulin, was shown to have a biological half-life of ~4.1 days, a serum concentration of ~5.3 mg/ml, and a synthetic rate of mg/kg/day. Serum IgM had a half-life of ~1.7 days, a serum concentration of ~0.71 mg/ml, and a synthetic rate of 16 mg/kg/day.
