Summary
Treatment of mice with the interferon inducer polyinosinic:polycytidylic acid failed to inhibit multiplication of Mycobacterium leprae in the mouse foot pad. This same treatment has recently been shown to inhibit multiplication in vivo of several intra-and extracellular pathogenic microorganisms.
