Abstract
Summary
Subcutaneous injection of bacterial endotoxins into rats causes elevation of the plasma fibrinogen level. Most of the increase occurs between 8 and 16 hr after injecting the endotoxin and incorporation of labeled glycine into fibrinogen is also highest during this time period.
