Summary
Inhibition of lymphocyte mitosis by E. coli L-asparaginase can be prevented by addition of L-glutamine to enzymetreated culture medium. Like arginine, glutamine appears to be essential for lymphocyte transformation and mitosis, while exogenous asparagine is not required.
