Abstract
Summary
Continuous suspension cultures were more readily established from circulating leukocytes obtained from patients with infectious hepatitis than from those from healty controls. Cultures were established from 21 of 35 (60%) patients from a single epidemic of infectious hepatitis and 3 of 16 normal donors. Generally, cultures became established earlier from the donors with hepatitis than from the controls. This proliferative tendency did not correlate with severity of disease in the patients.
