Summary
The unsaponifiable lipids (UL) of rat tissues include a number of components which possess moderate affinities for electrons with thermal energies. These can be separated and analyzed by gas-liquid chromatography coupled with simultaneous detection by flame ionization and electron capture. Different rat tissues yield characteristic chromatographic patterns.
