It was confirmed in this study that tissue culture fluid harvested from rabies virus infected cell culture and inactivated by BPL or UV irradiation can be used for immunization against rabies. The protective activity of such preparation in mice was, however, generally not much higher than that of the NIH reference vaccine in a mouse potency test.
