Summary
During the purification of Substance Z (urinary kinin), three biologically active peptide components were separated. Isotope dilution studies, biological and chromatographic studies suggested the first peptide to be identical with bradykinin. The investigations also indicated that the two other peptides were kallidin and Met-Lys bradykinin.
