Summary
The interaction between pentobarbital and increasing potassium ion concentration was investigated in isolated guinea pig atria. Each agent administered separately depressed the peak developed force of contraction. Combinations of the agents, as evaluated by isobolograms, produced isoantagonism at moderate effect levels, supra-antagonism at higher effect levels.
