Abstract
Summary
A method is described for chronic catheterization of the left renal artery in female rats. Glomerular and tubular excretory functions of the cannulated kidney were evaluated 18–48 hr after catheterization by concurrent comparison of its excretions of endogenous creatinine and intravenously administered PAH with those of the undisturbed right kidney. The data show that both functions were satisfactorily preserved in the cannulated kidney.
