Summary. M. pneumoniae
antibodies in human sera are detectable by double diffusion gel precipitation. These antibodies correlate with growth inhibiting antibody measured by the tetrazolium reduction inhibition test. All positive sera share a common precipitation band which appears to contain lipid.
