Abstract
Summary
Cell cultures derived from various kinds of simians (African green, rhesus, marmoset, baboon) were found to respond in different ways to adenovirus infection. Some permitted only early steps in replicative cycle, including the production of T antigen. Others were as susceptible as human cells, producing similar amounts of viral antigen and approaching human embryonic kidney cells in assay sensitivity.
