Abstract
Summary
Hepatic microsomes from the homozygous Gunn rat have been tested for their ability to effect the conjugation of THE and p-nitrophenol with glucuronic acid. Para-nitrophenol conjugation was impaired in these animals but THE was not. Neither aglycone inhibited conjugation of the other in normal animals. It is concluded that the glucuronyltransferases active for each of these substrates in the rat are separate entities.
