Summary
Chronic intrapituitary implantation of a mixture of estradiol (1 part) and progesterone (10 parts) significantly prolonged the duration of pseudopregnancy. Similar implantation of estradiol (1 part) and cholesterol (10 parts) or of pure progesterone were without effect.
