Abstract
Summary
The isolated perfused rabbit liver does not inactivate exogenous interferon either from serum or urine preparations. Such a liver has been found capable of actively removing and then breaking down γ-globulin-131I aggregates. It is unlikely that absence of breakdown observed with interferon is due to an impairment of the protein catabolic function of the perfused liver.
