Summary
The disappearance curves of testosterone-14C in immature and mature male rats and of estradiol-14C in immature and mature female rats were plotted following intravenous injection of these steroids. Similar curves were found in prepubescent and adult animals. These findings indicate that changes in the rates of utilization of these steroids do not contribute to the initiation of puberty.
