Abstract
Summary
The rate of Ca uptake was studied in grana isolated from skeletal muscle of normal rats and rats with myotonia induced by 20,25-diazacholesterol. No differences were found. It was concluded that the slow relaxation phase of contraction in skeletal muscle seen in this drug induced myotonia can not be explained by a slow uptake of calcium by the sarcoplasmic reticulum in vivo.
