Summary
An antiserum to bovine parathyroid hormone with high affinity for bovine and human parathyroid hormone was produced in a chicken. It made possible sensitive and reproducible measurement of the hormone in normal and abnormal human sera by radioimmunoassay. Unequivocal separation of normal, hypoparathyroid, and hyperparathyroid sera was obtained.
