Abstract
Summary
The ability of mice to produce either virus or statolon induced interferon was temporarily impaired (for 1-2 hours) following an injection of serotonin. This impairment was also noted in splenectomized and in adrenalectomized mice. Endo-toxin induced interferon was not influenced by serotonin. The possible mechanisms of this impairment are discussed.
