Abstract
Summary
The compound, 1-(4-fluorophenyl)-1-phenyl-2-propynyl N-cyclohexylcarbamate (FPPC), was shown to be a specific inhibitor of Friend leukemia virus splenomegaly in vivo. The compound was almost equally effective when administered orally or by injection. Although FPPC suppressed virus multiplication, complete eradication was not observed under the dose schedules used. Virus multiplication during relapse could be inhibited by further FPPC treatment.
