Abstract
Summary
Studies on the effects of estrogen-progestrone levels on the MI of the squamous epithelium of vagina of pregnant rats were made. We observed fluctuations in MI for different periods of gestation as well as variations in cytological criteria which occurred especially on days 7 and 14. The MI shifts and marked alterations of the cytological criteria coincides on the same gestational days.
