Summary
Dehydroepiandrosterone, a potent in vitro inhibitor of the enzyme glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, produced a significant decrease in the activity of the glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase of the red blood cells of a normal adult man when administered orally in doses of 100 mg for 3 consecutive days.
