Abstract
Summary
The hepatic intracellular distribution of unconjugated bilirubin-3H after its intravenous injection into normal and Gunn (glucuronyl-transferase deficient) rats was studied and found to be similar. The major site of radioactivity was the supernatant fraction in all experiments. It is doubtful that lysosomes play a major role in the transport of bile pigment.
