Abstract
Summary
The effect of adrenalectomy and of Dexamethasone treatment in adrenalectomized rats upon diurnal distribution of mitoses in the cornea of rats, was investigated. Evidence is presented to demonstrate that either increased or decreased numbers of cells in mitoses can be found in the cornea of rats in the late morning period of the day in Dexamethasone-treated adrenalectomized rats. Data are presented to indicate that these differences are related to the time interval between Dexamethasone administration and the time at which the animals were sacrificed.
