Abstract
Summary
Experiments were designed to study the immune response of the rabbit spleen and thymus following systemic administration of bovine serum albumin (BSA), Salmonella lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and BSA plus LPS. Significant amounts of antibody to LPS were found in the spleen and thymus. The formation of antibody to BSA in the spleen was accelerated and enhanced by LPS; antibody was found in thymus when BSA was given with LPS.
