Abstract
Summary
Four test systems were used to demonstrate the analgetic activity of Su-13026, a quinazoline compound, in mice, rats and rabbits. Signs of central nervous system stimulation were noted. Respiration was not depressed in any of the species studied. Nalorphine did not antagonize, nor did amphetamine potentiate, the activity of this compound in mice. Results indicate that this compound has a safe therapeutic ratio and is nonnarcotic.
