Abstract
Summary
1. Nucleoside diphosphokinase, 3-phosphoglycerate kinase and enolase are released from human platelets during the preparation of platelet concentrates. 2. Enzyme release is reduced by lowering the pH or by addition of adenosine. 3. Enzyme release is greater when the platelets in the concentrates are clumped.
