Abstract
Conclusions
This paper has presented a method of preparation of acini and tubuli from the parotid gland of the dog. The viability of the system is evidenced by its capacity to accumulate I131 by a metabolically dependent process. Free inulin distribution is restricted. It is suggested that this in vitro preparation might prove useful in the solution of two of the major issues in exocrine gland physiology.
