Abstract
Summary
Intensive treatment of guinea pigs with anaphylatoxin sufficient to prevent passively induced anaphylaxis did not alter the development of experimental allergic en-cephalomyelitis. In contrast, anti-serotonin drugs, lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and methysergide maleate (Sansert), did suppress the development of the auto-immune disease in about 30% of rats or guinea pigs during the period of drug treatment.
