Summary
Cholesterol esters were isolated from purified bovine myelin by thin layer and column chromatography. Liebermann-Bur-chard reaction and infrared spectroscopy were used to identify the isolated fraction.
Component fatty acids of the cholesterol esters were quantitated by gas-liquid chroma-tography.
