Abstract
Summary
Pituitary content of growth hormone was determined in rats submitted to insulin hypoglycemia, pretreated or not treated with bovine growth hormone. Exogenous growth hormone was capable of inhibiting endogenous growth hormone release, suggesting the existence of an “auto” feed-back mechanism. A close interrelationship was also observed between plasma NEFA levels and growth hormone secretion.
